A teacher at Shiplake College, Henley-on-Thames, UK completed the Great South Run in a tutu for charity. Jonnie Howorth, who teaches geography and is assistant head of the lower school, finished the 10-mile race in Portsmouth in one hour, 49 minutes 38 seconds.

He raised £2,000 for the Starlight Children's Foundation , which grants the wishes of children with terminal and serious illnesses.

Mr Howorth said: "Starlight is a great cause that helps children who have been through so much and deserve a break from their treatment and recovery.

I got involved because my wife works for them." To make a donation, visit http://www.starlight.org/
