Master Tutu Maker Jean Lamprell To Teach Tutu Design Course

Jean Lamprell's career started with The Royal Shakespeare Company's summer productions.
She went on to work at the Royal Opera House in London designing costumes for both Ballet and Opera.
After moving to New York she began designing for Broadway shows, operas, ballets, TV and Film.
While in New York she attended The Fashion Institute of Technology.

Returning to England she started her own theatrical costumes company refining her skills as a tutu designer.
Her work has been seen in  Giselle for London Festival Ballet, Swan Lake for the Royal Ballet, David Hockney’s
Rake’s Progress for the Glyndebourne Opera and Sleeping Beauty for the Washington Ballet.

She now conducts Seminars and master classes and work shops on tutu design and construction in
the U.S., Japan and Canada. This fall she will be teaching the class "The Classical Tutu" at
The School of Fashion at The Academy of Art University.
